How do I handle a return or exchange?

Go to Orders, open the original order, and tap Return. Choose how many of each item come back. For an exchange, tap Add Replacement on the same screen; the net amount is settled in one go — positive means the customer pays, negative means you refund, and zero means nothing changes hands.

  • The original order is never modified. A return creates its own document dated today, numbered with an R prefix, and revenue is reduced on the day of the return.
  • The refund is what the customer actually paid for that item — item discounts, cart discounts, and points redemption are already apportioned out, so it is not refunded at list price. Tax uses the rate the original order was charged at.
  • Replacement items are charged at today's price, with no promotions or discounts.
  • Tracked stock is restored automatically. Points earned on the original order are taken back, redeemed points are refunded, and replacement items earn their own points.
  • An order can be returned in several rounds, but never beyond the quantity originally sold. Promotion usage limits are not given back by a return.

There is no time limit on returns, but the original order is required. If a return was entered by mistake, void the return and the returnable quantity comes back.
