Can I turn off the “Ding” after checkout?
Yes. Go to Settings → Device Preferences and turn off Checkout sound. From the next sale on, the success screen stays silent, with the haptic tap still there.
The switch applies to this iPad only, and restoring a cloud backup doesn't change it.
