How is profit reported if I didn't enter costs?

Cost is an optional field. Products without a cost are marked “profit not tracked” in reports and excluded from profit calculations — revenue is still counted in full, only profit is skipped.

To get complete profit reports, add costs on the product edit page; future orders will be included. Profit is calculated on after-discount revenue.
