Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Pikgeon app ("Application") for mobile devices, created by Alu Studio ("Service Provider") as a free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS". By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Information Collection and Use

The Application may collect certain information automatically when you download and use it. This information may include:

• Your device's Internet Protocol address (IP address)
• Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers
• Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
• Usage data such as pages visited within the Application, time and date of visits, and time spent on pages
• Crash logs and performance diagnostics

The Application does not collect precise location information from your mobile device.

Advertising

The Application uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use certain data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, including:

• Advertising ID (IDFA/GAID) for ad targeting and frequency capping
• IP address for approximate geographic targeting
• Device information (model, OS version, screen size) for ad formatting
• Interaction data (ad views, clicks) for performance measurement

On iOS, the Application respects the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. If you decline tracking permission, only non-personalized ads will be served. You can also adjust ad personalization settings on your device at any time.

In-App Ad Privacy Settings: To review or revoke your consent at any time, open the Pikgeon app and go to Settings → About → Manage Ad Privacy.

Third-Party Services

The Application uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies governing how they handle data:

• Google AdMob
• Firebase Crashlytics
• Firebase Analytics

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Application itself does not explicitly use cookies. However, third-party services integrated into the Application (such as AdMob) may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar tracking technologies to collect information and serve targeted advertisements. You can manage cookie preferences through your device settings.

Data Retention

All postcard recognition data and app settings are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers. Data collected by third-party services (AdMob, Firebase) is retained according to their respective data retention policies. If you wish to delete your local data, you may uninstall the Application or clear its data through your device settings.

Children's Privacy

The Application is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will promptly delete it. Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:

• iOS: Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking to manage app tracking permissions, or Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising to limit ad tracking
• Android: Go to Settings → Privacy → Ads to opt out of ad personalization or reset your advertising ID
• Google Ads Settings: Visit https://adssettings.google.com to manage your Google ad preferences
• Uninstall: You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the Application

Security

We value the security of your information and employ commercially reasonable measures to protect it. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
