Privacy Policy

ALU Studio ("we") developed DingPOS ("the app"). DingPOS is a point of sale built with privacy at its core — your business data belongs to you. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the app.

How your data is stored

DingPOS stores all of your business data locally on your device. Unless you actively enable cloud backup, this data never leaves your device. The data you create in the app includes:

• Store settings (store name, currency, tax rate, logo)
• Product data (name, price, cost, barcode, photo, category, variants, stock)
• Order and transaction records (including discounts, tax, payment method)
• Customer and membership data (name, optional phone and email, points)
• Promotion rules and member-tier settings

Cloud backup (optional)

You can optionally enable cloud backup and choose one of iCloud, Google Drive, or Dropbox as the storage location. Backups are written to your own cloud account and remain fully under your control. We never handle, store, or access the contents of these backups. Whether to enable backup, and which provider to use, is entirely your choice and can be turned off at any time.

What we do not collect

DingPOS does not collect, transmit, or share any of your business content. Specifically, we do not:

• Collect your product, order, customer, or membership data
• Touch any payment flow or credit card information (the app does not process actual card payments)
• Track your location
• Share your business data with any third party

Camera & photos

DingPOS requests camera access only when you actively use "scan barcode" or "take a product photo". Barcode recognition and photos are processed locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. Product photos are only written to your own cloud account as part of a backup, if you enable cloud backup.

Subscription & purchases

DingPOS offers a subscription through Apple App Store In-App Purchase (IAP), using RevenueCat to manage subscription status. Payment is handled by Apple; we never receive your credit card or payment details. RevenueCat receives only an anonymous identifier tied to subscription status, used to verify whether your subscription is active.

Analytics & crash reporting

DingPOS uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google, to help us understand how the app is used and to identify and fix crashes. These services collect:

• Anonymous usage data (e.g. which features are used, session length)
• Crash reports (e.g. stack traces, device model, OS version)
• Device information (e.g. device type, OS, app version)
• A randomly generated instance identifier (not linked to your identity)

This data is anonymous and does not include any of your business content (such as products, orders, customers, or members). To learn more about how Google handles this data, see Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Children's privacy

DingPOS is a commercial point-of-sale tool. It is not designed for children and does not collect children's personal information.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you through an app update. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
