Privacy Policy

ALU Studio ("we", "our", or "us") developed Sotto (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our App. We believe privacy is a fundamental right, and Sotto is designed from the ground up to protect yours.

How Your Data Is Stored

Sotto stores all of your data locally on your device. We do not upload your data to any server. Information you enter in the App includes:

• Contact names, photos, and bios
• Body measurements (height, weight, chest, waist, etc.)
• Personal notes
• App preferences and settings (themes, units, etc.)

Information We Do Not Collect

Sotto does not collect, transmit, or share any of your personal content. Specifically, we do not:

• Collect any personally identifiable information
• Track your location
• Use any advertising SDKs
• Share your personal content (contacts, measurements, notes) with any third party
• Use cookies or any tracking technologies

Biometric Authentication

Sotto offers an optional App Lock feature using Face ID or Touch ID. Biometric data is handled entirely by Apple's LocalAuthentication framework and is stored in the secure enclave on your device. We cannot access, collect, or store any biometric data.

iCloud Backup

If you have iCloud Backup enabled, data on your device may be included in Apple's iCloud backups. This is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not our App. You can manage this in your device's iCloud settings.

Analytics & Crash Reporting

Sotto uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google, to help us understand how the App is used and to identify and fix crashes. These services collect:

• Anonymous usage data (e.g., which features are used, session duration)
• Crash reports (e.g., stack traces, device model, OS version)
• Device information (e.g., device type, operating system, app version)
• A randomly generated instance identifier (not linked to your identity)

This data is anonymous and does not include any personal content you enter in the App (such as contacts, measurements, or notes). For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Data Deletion

All personal data in Sotto — contact profiles, measurements, notes, custom fields, settings, and OAuth tokens — is stored only on your device. Our servers never receive this data.

To delete all your data

Uninstall Sotto, or use “Clear app data” in your device’s system settings. This action is irreversible.

Anonymous statistics collected by Firebase Analytics

The install ID is an anonymous identifier randomly generated for each installation. It is not linked to your Google account or any personal information. Uninstalling the app invalidates this ID, and a new installation generates a new one. Previously recorded events are automatically deleted by Google after 14 months.

Cloud backup files (if you enabled backup)

Backup files are stored in your own Google Drive or Dropbox account. To delete them, remove the files directly in that service.

Third-Party Services

Sotto integrates Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics by Google solely for anonymous usage analytics and crash reporting. No other third-party services are used. All core features of the App work without an internet connection.

Children's Privacy

Sotto does not collect personal information from children. The anonymous analytics data collected by Firebase does not identify individual users of any age.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you through an App update. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
